Search Engine Optimisation
Search Engine Optimisation (commonly known and referred to as SEO), is a discipline that covers the marketing and promotion of a website or a blog in order to attain high search engine rankings for multiple (and searched for) keyword phrases.
Organic SEO concerns the rankings that are achieved in the natural listings of the search engine. If we take Google as an example of the search engine, you will notice “sponsored links” and “organic listings”. The organic listings are ranked from 1 to 10 on the 1st page of Google. Quite simply, if you are not on the 1st page of Google, then you need to fully optimise your website. Organic SEO is also sustainable, whereas PPC and CPC are not, which is why we focus on organic search engine optimisation.
Website optimisation is a way of driving targeted traffic to a website. All too often we see many client websites only targeting their company name or their main web address (URL). This is not very good, because you are seriously limiting the exposure of your site within the search engine listings.
It is important to research the keyword phrases to actually see what prospective clients are searching for in Google. Keyword research determines which keywords are worthwhile to target for your site both now and in the future.
